Dr. Melih Can Korkmaz

Melih Can Korkmaz graduated as the valedictorian of Atatürk Anatolian High School.

Following his graduation from the Faculty of Law at Kadir Has University, he pursued his LL.M. studies at Freie Universität Berlin and subsequently completed his Ph.D. in Commercial Law at Marmara University.

Melih Can Korkmaz has served as Legal Counsel to various national and multinational companies and has advised clients on distributorship agreements between Middle Eastern and Turkish companies. He has extensive expertise in corporate law, capital markets law, international trade law, insurance law, energy law, competition law, personal data protection law, international arbitration, banking law, and intellectual property law.

He also possesses substantial experience in advising multinational corporations involved in international and large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly with respect to their cooperation and integration with domestic and international financial institutions, as well as the structuring and procurement of project financing.

Fluent in English, German, and Italian, Melih Can Korkmaz is also the author of numerous scholarly articles published in both Turkish and foreign languages in the field of Intellectual Property Law.

He is the author of the book Pre-emptive Rights in Joint Stock Companies (Anonim Ortaklıkta Rüçhan Hakkı).

In addition, he has extensive experience in matters relating to patents, trademarks, and industrial designs, and continues to provide legal counsel and advisory services in these areas.
