Ziya Bagirzadesh

Ziya Bagirzadeh is an attorney specialising in corporate, commercial and regulatory matters with more than fifteen years of legal experience advising multinational corporations, private companies and senior management on complex legal and business matters. His practice focuses on corporate governance, commercial transactions, strategic advisory work, regulatory compliance and dispute prevention across a broad range of industries.

Mr. Bagirzadeh currently serves as Head of Legal Department at Ganja Automotive Plant and Aznur LLC, while maintaining his legal practice as a member of the Azerbaijani Bar Association. Throughout his career, he has represented and advised clients on corporate structuring, commercial contracts, governance matters, employment issues and day-to-day legal affairs, supporting executive management in strategic decision-making and risk management.

Before assuming his current leadership roles, Mr. Bagirzadeh completed a legal traineeship at the European Parliament in Brussels, gaining practical experience in European legislative and regulatory processes. He also practised as a corporate lawyer in the private sector and as an attorney within one of Azerbaijan’s specialised advocacy bureaux.

Mr. Bagirzadeh holds an LL.M. in International and European Business, Competition and Energy Law from Freie Universität Berlin and an LL.B. from Baku State University. He is the author of several academic publications in the fields of competition law, energy law and comparative contract law, and currently serves as a Member of the Executive Board of the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation. He is fluent in Azerbaijani, English, Turkish and Russian
